Cutback Asphalt MC70

Road-grade bitumen can be heated to lower its viscosity, making it more fluid for spray

sealing a pavement. An alternative to heating is the addition of a solvent. When a solvent

is added the bitumen viscosity is reduced temporarily. This blend is termed "cutback bitumen".

Cutback bitumen may be madewith different viscosities after the predetermined addition

of bitumen cutter with the purpose of reducing the bitumen viscosity to a desired level

allowing more efficient spraying as well as ensuring stronger adhesion to prepared bases

and aggregates.

Uses:

• In road construction and treatment of pavement – surface dressing
• For soil stabilization purpose.
• For crack filling.
• Used for priming the building basement outer wall and roof substrate.

Advantages:

• No foaming when heated to application temperature.

 Application Rate - From 0.6 litre per m² to 1.2 litre per m²

 Spraying / Application Temperature - 60 - 80°C
