It is a kind of high quality coke with low sulfur content and low ash, and it is also a kind of easy graphitized carbon. The asphaltic coke structure is compact, the particle mechanical strength and wear resistance are high,It is beneficial to improve the mechanical strength and reduce ash content of the product by adding bituminous coke in the formulation of carbon materials. When using a tank type furnace for high volatile oil coke, a part of asphalt coke can be used to alleviate the phenomenon of coking and blocking. After adding asphaltic coke, the product has higher resistivity, larger linear expansion coefficient and less lubrication, but the mechanical strength and wear resistance of the product are good. Bituminous coke is the raw material of graphite electrode, electric carbon and high - density graphite.
