TARMARINE 300 SERIES are range of trunk piston engine oils in SAE 30 grade, developed for use in medium speed diesel engines burning residual fuels. TARMARINE 300 SERIES combine an exclusive formulation of the latest additive technologies and a highly refined base oil to provide a substantial safety margin to cope with higher stress levels including those of the latest and future designs of diesel engines.

TARMARINE 300 SERIES range can be used in highly rated, medium speed diesel engines used for both marine and stationary power generation, using residual heavy fuel oil with varying qualities and quantities of sulphur content. Oils in the range are particularly suitable for engines consuming a low or very low amount of oil and using poor quality residual fuel.

TARMARINE 300 SERIES exceed the CF specification defined by the American Petroleum Institute. They ensure outstanding cleanliness of both the hot and cold parts of an engine thanks to their detergency and dispersant properties. Their ability to reduce heavy deposit build-up in an engine creates savings via a reduction in maintenance costs. They also offer excellent resistance to the negative effects of residual fuel contamination, along with excellent thermal resistance and oxidisation resistance. The stable viscosity of TARMARINE 300 SERIES means that fewer top-ups are needed. The range is also very water resistant, with outstanding demulsibility capacity, enabling rapid removal of water after an ingress and the maintenance of good engine performance. Good wear protection and excellent oil film strength are also the features of the range.
