More and more solar is integrated into residential and commercial power supply solutions. However, how to use it sufficiently is a problem. This intermediate energy storage system (ESS) could increase self-consumption rate of harvested solar and consequently save the power fee.

Furthermore, ESS & self-consumption can help to overcome the peak load problem. If the power consumption exceeds the quantity agreed upon with the electric utility company, this can lead to increased provision charges or trigger off the input breaker thus causing a power down issue.
