Wire drawing lubricant powder in Q195/SAE1008 Q235/SAE1018 iron wire

The wire drawing powder, is also named Wire drawing lubricant powder.

It is widely used in the process of drawing steel wire, and the low carbon steel wire, high carbon steel wire, special alloy steel wire and stainless steel wire, etc.

The wire drawing powder will form a lubricant film with the transformation temperature of steel wire, to protect the drawn wire for improving the drawn wire surface quality.

Components

It is mainly made from lime, water, soap, animal fat, paraffin, octadecanoic acid, talcum powder aund borate etc.

(1) The wire drawing powder can be absorbed on the surface of steel wire hard, then enters into the drawing dies to to differentiate two interfaces in the transformation phase

In the process, it can be used to draw Q195/SAE 1008 and Q235/SAE 1018 low carbon iron wire, when the wire feed into the box, the wire drawing powder plays lubricant role to reduce the friction to make wire more black and more shiny. And it can protect the drawing dies to be used in a longer time. In the process of drawing steel wire in a high speed, the more quick speed, the more lubricant effect.
